First, sift the dry ingredients together. There are one-half cup of flour, one cup of sugar, one teaspoon of baking soda and cocoa. Simply place everything in a sieve and shake it back and forth over a bowl to eliminate dumps.
Second, stir in the liquid ingredients and stir well. These are three tablespoon vinegar, six tablespoon of oil, one teaspoon of vanilla essence, one cup of water and one piece of egg. Some people like to add these ingredients individually, but others stir them together in a second bowl before adding them to dry ingredients.
Third, pour the mixture into an eight inch and greased and floured round pan. The grease and flour will keep the mix from sticking to the pan.
Fourth, bake this cake at three hundred fifty degrees fahrenheit for thirty minutes. After it is already done, let the cake cool for five minutes and frost at desired.
